Top 1.2 Accept the Minutes Minutes of the last Arbitration Team Meeting 2010-10-20
Summary: 1 aye, no objection, accepted
top 2.1 review of the list of action items from last meeting
top 2.1.1 Public and Private part of Arbitration filing
Action item: acls set on https://wiki.cacert.org/Arbitrations/priv, Uli to write a documentation under Arbitration/Trianing. The ACLs were set within last meeting by Mario ... Docu I've prepared in the week after the meeting ... and can be read here: https://wiki.cacert.org/Arbitrations/Training/Lesson14. No arb case that has used currently this "private" part (as there is no much activity currently)
Q: Does that mean that when I enter a page in https://wiki.cacert.org/Arbitrations/priv, it will only be accessible to arbitrators?
A: yes, this does it mean, and so it will only visible to arbteam members (group ArbitrationGroup)
- Q: How can I list who's in that group?
A: https://wiki.cacert.org/ArbitrationGroup (probably should be updated)
Summary: no further action items, information only
Top 2.1.2 Inactive CM/A's (Update) Action item: DRO to report on progress update
- You might have read my update (the one I sent to the last arbteam meeting). I have contacted the arbitrators that are not active, or do not seem active. Most of them replied, resulting in either a resignation (for those that simply did not have enough time) or the confirmation that they were going to pick up again. The resignations have been accepted by the board. But this leaves me with a question I'd like to ask you here. For those individuals that are arbitrator, but do not have time for the coming 2-3 montyhs, I'd like to create a new "status". Not removing them as arb, but keeping them out of the normal headcount. So say one of you will be unavailable for 5 months. I can then assign you to the "currently inactive with a reason" group, and accept you as arb as soobn as you have time. This way we have a headcount that represents active arbs, but also keep arbs that cannot do their work for a number of months. What do you think: workable, or terrible idea?
- currently handled within arbitrators list with the green and yellow marks
- Q: Can we accept this in the meeting as an official statement?
- have we another way to get an official statement of the Arbitration team?
currently Arbitrations/Arbitrators lists 5 yellow marked arbitrators ... probably 2 are active in some way ... 3 are not
- I'd say: all that attend the arbmeetings have a say. If you cannot attend and let that know in a\dvance you still have a voice, otherwise you forfeith your vote
- Q: did you've got response from all 5 arbitrators ?
- A: no, not from all
- 5 "inactive arbs" ... for two I've tried to bring them in several times, w/o luck. I have no idea to bring them upto become active ....
- I think I also talked to both
- You might have read my update (the one I sent to the last arbteam meeting). I have contacted the arbitrators that are not active, or do not seem active. Summary:
- 1. Move inactive Arbitrators into new status "currently inactive with a reason" group, and accept you as arb as soon as you have time again - accepted by 2, carried
- 2. DRO to check on one not responding
3. talk with two of inactive ones how to become them active
Top 2.1.3 Update on arbitration-archive (Update)
- Action item: Mario, plz send a reminder with progress report req to email admins
- rcvd a reply from email admin, however, mailbox does not seem to hae been created. not sure where the problem resides to create a simple mailbox as for any random cacert user... we still have to discuss how to implement this. We will keep you posted on the progress. Please be patient, we will come back to you until end of October/November the latest.
Summary: not finished, Mario, to chase this
- Action item: Mario, plz send a reminder with progress report req to email admins
Top 2.1.4 Bulk handling of 30 Delete Account Requests (Update)
- Action item: Uli starts request for CM's available to assist A's
- sent requests around, we now have 3 teams, 3 arbitrators, 3 CMs
currently on work ... prepare the procedure, that can be found here: Delete My Account Procedure. Steps 1 and 2 are clear .. the next steps needs to be deployed, still open to work on step 4 ff, only for info of current state, to work on in a group of 2 Arbs, to continue with the next steps 4,5,6, ... of the proposed "delete my account" procedure we can use in the bulk process of 30 cases, so we don't running into a lock mode
- If I get the time, I would send out the init mails. This would require a timeout of about 6 weeks to proceed here I guess.
- DRP says: we have to check CCA acceptance before starting arbitration process, this doesn't work on "Delete my Account" requests. first have to push (C) or (R) into CCA and then we have to terminate it, does not make such sense. so here first step is to check wether CCA acceptance exists or not ... and give the user a chance to object or whatever but not waiting for a response before continue, but with a deadline ... we continue the case in 2 weeks
Summary: update and info only on this topic, call for participation on deploying the procedure
Top 4.1: next meeting: Wednesday, November 17, 20 CEST, 19 UTC
Summary: 3 ayes, no objection
