This page contains the list of network cables in the CAcert rack in the BIT-2 hosting centre in Ede, The Netherlands. A copy of this page should be present inside the rack.

Ports not mentioned in the above overview are not connected.
A cable which has been in use before, but which is currently not connected anymore, is shown above with cable end points NONE. As of 12.12.2013, such unused cables have been removed from this list.
Maintenance
Changes in cabling should be noted in this page.
15.06.2010 Cable #16 has been removed, because the netapp has not been reinstalled after moving all CACert equipment to the new location.
10.12.2010 Cable #09 has been disconnected, since sun1 is scheduled to become an infrastructure support system and thus should not have access anymore to the critical sysadmin managed admin network.
16.12.2011 Linksys Medium is broken and has been replaced by cisco 2960-48, ports 1-24 + Gbit port 1
16.12.2011 Linksys High is broken and has been replaced by cisco 2960-48, ports 25-48 + Gbit port 2
16.12.2011 cisco has been renamed to cisco 2950-24 because there is a second cisco switch now
07.02.2013 new cable added from sun2 to extern for testing sun2 as new webdb server
07.02.2013 new USB cable added between sun2 and sun3 for testing sun2 as new webdb server
03.04.2013 removed the two new cables added on 07.02.2013
03.04.2013 UTP cable #19 now connected to sun2 instead of (disconnected) webdb
03.04.2013 USB serial cable K-25 now connected to sun2 instead of (disconnected) webdb
14.11.2013 Massive overhaul due to replacement of network switch infrastructure
12.12.2013 Another massive overhaul due to move to new half-height rack plus the replacement of the Tunix firewall by our own fw01/fw02 equipment
06.05.2014 Add USB<->serial cable between sun3 and cisco/fw01/fw02 serial ports
30.10.2015 Add new cables from sun3 and sun2 to 172.16.3 network
04.05.2020 Reconnected uplink-cable to Uplink 1 (Gigabit)-Port upon request by BIT
